SCOTT, Nola Linda Thornhill Nola Linda Thornhill Scott, born March 10, 1941, in St. Michael, Barbados, to Seibert and Maria (Brancker) Thornhill, has gone home to her heavenly Father. Under the care of the medical and volunteer team at the West Island Palliative Care Centre (Pavillon Andre- Brunet), surrounded and comforted by her loving family, she slipped away quietly, and peacefully, on January 6, 2017. Nola is survived by her children Theresa, Valerie, and Patrick; Valerie''s daughters Rachel and Nicole Scott-Shelton; her brother Michael Thornhill; his children Belinda, Monica, Donna and Max; and their children Jessica, Jay, Matthew, Mitchell, Thomas and Andrew. Following her studies at St. Michael''s Girls'' School in Barbados, she came to Montreal, Canada at 17 with her parents and her brother. After leaving the RCAF where she served with dedication and pride, in addition to raising her young family, she also pursued a career in information technology. She loved to teach and she loved to dance. She will be missed by her loving extended family as well as her many unofficially adopted children and grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at a time to be determined at James Street Church, St. Michael''s, Barbados. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Association or the West Island Palliative Care Residence would be a welcomed tribute.
