Sunrise: April 22, 1936 - Sunset: October 21, 2013On Monday, October 21, 2013 Mother Nettie Mae Brown peacefully slept away into eternity at her home in Panama City. Mother Brown was born on April 22, 1936 in Panama City, Florida to William James and Louise Clemmons Johnson.She accepted Christ and was filled with His Spirit at the age of twelve.Mother Brown answered His call to service and served others passionately and faithfully. She was a mighty prayer warrior and intercessor, bringing peace and deliverance to many over the years.She served faithfully for many years in the COCWIN under the late Bishop Ross Halstead and Bishop Roosevelt Alexander.In her latter years she joined Amazing Grace AC and served under Pastor Robert and Evangelist Audrey Lowery, until her demise.Mother Brown had a great love for old time gospel music and family gatherings with her children and grandchildren, whom she affectionately referred to as "Nettie Mae's babies".She was very blessed to be surrounded with the love and care of her children and grandchildren until the end.Mother Brown was preceded in death by her parents, William James Sr. and Louise Clemmons Johnson; her precious son, Patrick Richard Brown; one brother, William J. Johnson, II; two sisters, Mary E. Jones and Laura M. Smith; one son in law, Michael Frink; and one sister in law, Mary Ellis.She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Joe Louis Brown, Sr. on May 5, 1960.Mother Brown is survived by her eight dedicated children. Carolyn V. Walker (Damon, Sr.), Patricia A. Frink, Jacqueline Westmoreland, Joe L. Brown, II, (Jackie), Michael A. Brown (Tammy), Annette Brown, Jeanette B. Best (Ulyssee) and Melissa L. Trawick (Terrance); four sisters, Bonita White, Doris Manning, Gloria Jean Snead and Betty Jean Miller; four brothers, George Johnson, Lewis (LC) Johnson (Jackie), Clarence Johnson, and Charles Johnson (Mattie); one sister in law, Annie R. Coleman; fourteen grandchildren, Trent, Joe III (Magdalena) Sophia, Damon Jr, (Talesa), Nikita, Wesley (Claudia), Justin, Timothy, Brandon, Ebony, Jamal, Olivia, Nicholas; six great grandchildren; Ariyon, Sharnice, Jeremiah, Analisa, Ayana and Dy'Nasti; and a host of devoted, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special thank you to staff of Covenant Hospice.Funeral services for Mother Nettie Mae Brown will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 1 p.m.. At Kingdom Agenda International Ministries, located at 5308 East Hwy 98. With Pastor Anthony Andrews and Pastor Robert Lowery, III officiating. The body will lie in state from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment at Hillside Cemetery.
