Obituary of Nellie-Elizabeth Hall


HALL Nellie Elizabeth Hall, age 72, of Bridgeport, died Monday, March 31, 2003, in Cambridge Manor, Fairfield. Born in Bridgeport on April 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nellie Crosier Hall. Nellie was a retired employee of Bobker Bearing Company, having 43 years of service before her retirement, and was a receptionist for the Mercy Learning Center. She was a 55 year member of the First Presbyterian Church, of Fairfield and a member of the Azalea Chapter # 2 Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Jessie Hall, of Trumbull; a niece, Sharon Mericle and her husband, Dean, of Duanesburg, N.Y.; two grand nieces and their husbands and children, Kimberly, Jerome and Joshua Edmunds, of Balls Spa, N.Y. and Deborah, Jeffrey, Morgan and Jacob Hoffman, of Delanson, N.Y. Also, she is survived by her two very close friends, Doreen Lang and Eleanor Tulloch, of Bridgeport. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, April 3, 2003, at 11 a.m., in the Dennis and DˆArcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford, with the Rev. Alice Monschke, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery. Vising hours for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, from 3 - 7 p.m.
