Nellie Lockaby Davis, 101, formerly of 919 State Park Road, widow of James B. Davis, died October 15, 2008, at Oakmont East Nursing Home.A native of Anderson County, daughter of the late George and Mattie Sowell Lockaby, she was a retired employee of Southern Handkerchief Company and a member of Hampton Park Baptist Church.A special thanks to the staff at Oakmont East Nursing Home 400 Unit for all their love and care.Surviving are a daughter, Marjorie Singleton and her husband, Herman L. Singleton of the home and a granddaughter, Linda Henderson and her husband, Wayne of Greenville. Mrs. Davis was predeceased by a grandson, Roger Summey.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance, conducted by Rev. David Yearick.
