Funeral for Nell Thompson White, 72, formerly of Hillsboro, will be Friday, March 11, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Clotfelter and the Rev. Dallas Culver officiating. Burial will be in Penny Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. White died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at her residence. She was born Aug. 12, 1932, in Morgan County to Graham Thompson and Elizabeth Baker Thompson. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a 1950 graduate of the Old Trinity High School. She lived in Morgan County for 48 years. Survivors include her husband, James W. White; one son, James Franklin White of Mooresville, Ind.; two sisters, Sara McCaig Dickerson and her husband, John, of Trinity, and Shirley Little and her husband, Joe, of Hillsboro; five nephews, Tommy McCaig of Trinity, Joe Little and his wife, Karen, Dennis Little and his wife, Renee, and George Little, all of Decatur, and John Little of Hillsboro; three nieces, Sharon Simpson and her husband, Mac, of Danville, Beth Wesley and her husband, Bruce, of Red Springs, N.C., and Robia Mullican and her husband, Andy, of Trinity; seven great-nephews; three great-nieces; and one great great-niece.Pallbearers will be Joe Little, Dennis Little, George Little, John Little, Greg McCaig, Andy Mullican, Mac Simpson and Harry Knop. Honorary pallbearers will be Willard Burt, Ronald Puckett, Tommy McCaig and Eual Lamon.
