Neal-O. Harris, born in 1980, spouse of Judith Berthiaume, father of Scott and Michelle, died on September 19, 2014 at 34 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
HARRIS, Neal O. "Ret. SGM", 72 passed away peacefully Friday September 19, 2014. Born in Greenfield, MA., he resided in Tampa for the last 34 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Judith Berthiaume, son Scott Harris, daughter Michelle Peninger, son-in-law Kenny, cherished grandson Nathaniel, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Ferris G. Harris, Edith Dickinson, step-father Frank Lamb, sister, Alma M. Harris, and brother, Robert E. Guyoette. Neal proudly served the Army for 23 years having traveled the globe obtaining achievements and medals for his service. He was a writer for the Stars and Stripes Army publication, and ended his career in Public Affairs Readiness Command at MacDill AFB. He was a 32nd Mason, member of American Legion Post #138, and the Scottish Rite Temple. He loved his service to our country and always generous in helping his fellow man. As a teenager dad picked up the saxophone at the Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls, MA. music was in his soul. A Memorial Service will be held Friday October 3rd, 2014 10 a.m. Blount & Curry- MacDill, inurnment services at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Neal O. Harris to LifePath Hospice, Tampa, FL. Words of comfort can be expressed at www.blountcurrymacdill.com
