MITCHELL, Nancy Claire Lucas, 56, died September 6, 2006, at LifePath Hospice inTemple Terrace. A lifelong Temple Terrace resident and third-generation native Floridian, she graduated from King Senior High School, attended Florida State University, and obtained degrees in English and psychology from the University of South Florida. Although she spent most of her life in the medical field, Nancy was a lifelong adventurer who enjoyed traveling, sailing, scuba diving and exploring the world around her. Nancy truly believed that "Life is a journey; not a destination." She is survived by her daughter, Andria Overstreet; son-in-law, Scott Overstreet; and beloved grandson, Lucas Overstreet of Valrico; mother, Ruth Sibert Walley of Tampa; sister, Shirley Lucas of Ruskin; and brothers Phillip Lucas, M.D., of San Francisco, Calif., and Charles Sibert Lucas, M.D., of Maitland. A memorial in her honor will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory may be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa , FL 33609, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
