->Adams, Nancy Lee GaffneyRochester: Passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at age 72. Nancy was born October 24, 1939 in Watertown, NY (parents, Donald A. and Elizabeth H. Gaffney). Nancy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John B. Adams III; 3 children, Elizabeth A. (Adams) VanBlargan and husband Jason C., Michael J. Adams and wife Hope (Gabri), Douglas P. Adams and wife Amy (DeFraine); 3 grandchildren, Craig P., Keeley M. and Brendan J. VanBlargan; 1 sister, Anne G. Friday and 1 brother, Thomas D. Gaffney. When Nancy was 6 months old the family moved to Utica, NY where Nancy attended Utica schools and completed her senior year of high school at St. Mary's in Niagara Falls, NY. Nancy attended SUNY Potsdam and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. She then attended SUNY Fredonia and graduated with a Master's of Science Degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, she taught fourth grade for School #23 in Rochester, NY for 5 years and later taught at Norwood-Norfolk Schools for 2 years.
