Nancy Jean Webster Henderson March 15, 2011 Nancy Jean Webster Henderson, 76, of Peterboro, died Tuesday at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of James and Doris Pease Webster on August 20, 1934. She was a 1951 graduate of Manlius High School. Active in her community, she was a leader of the Peterboro 4-H club, active with the local Boy Scouts and was instrumental in starting the Community Youth Center in Peterboro. She was a former president of the Thimble Club. She owned Nan's Helping Hand, a cleaning business in the Manlius area. Nancy is predeceased by her husband, Gerald, in 1999; her son, Scott, in 1973; and her daughter, Angela Elizabeth, in 1965. Surviving are her children, Laura L. Henderson, Cole (Renae) Henderson, Felicia (Dave) Mussacchio, Edwina (Ron) Wean and Kelly Henderson (Joe Mudge); 13 grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; her sisters, Dory Owens and Mary Tucker; and sister-in-law, Caroline Webster. Nancy was a second mom to many of the children in her neighborhood and known for her baking of cookies.
