PETERBORO - Nancy Jean Webster Henderson, 76, of Peterboro, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville. She was born in Syracuse, a daughter of James and Doris Pease Webster on Aug. 20, 1934. She was a 1951 graduate of Manlius High School. Active in her community, she was leader of the Peterboro 4-H Club, active with the local Boy Scouts, and was instrumental in starting the Community Youth Center in Peterboro. She was a former president of the Thimble Club. Nancy is predeceased by her husband, Gerald in 1999; her son Scott in 1973; her daughter, Angela Elizabeth in 1965. Surviving are her children, Laura L. Henderson, Cole (Renae) Henderson, Felicia (Dave) Mussacchio, Edwina (Ron) Wean, Kelly Henderson (Joe Mudge); 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Dory Owens and Mary Tucker and sister-in-law, Caroline Webster. Nancy was a second mom to many of the children in her neighborhood and known for her baking of cookies.
