Nancy Jane Beal, 78, Seymour, passed away at 11:18 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mrs. Beal was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Seymour. She had been employed as a bookkeeper at Kocolene Oil Company, Seymour. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. Born Aug. 25, 1930, in Seymour, she was the daughter of James A. Hill and Bernice Goens Hill Bryant Woolls, both of whom preceded her in death. On May 23, 1949, in Mississippi, she married John Robert Beal, who survives. Other survivors include sons, J. Rodney (Janie) Beal, Mike Beal, Kevin (Susan) Beal and Larry Beal; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue (Mick) Weber and Mary (Marlin) Wright; and a brother, Arthur Hill. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald "Joe" Hill. The Rev. Andrew Currao will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
