Obituary of Nancy-Garner-Queen Jackson

JACKSON Nancy Garner Queen Jackson died peacefully at her home in San Diego, CA on July 4, 2002 after a lengthy illness. Nancy was born 6/8/44 in San Diego to Leslie M. and Estelle D. Garner. She grew up in Jacksonville, FL and married Clifford Queen, with whom she had one son, Thomas. Her later marriage to Donald (Jack) Jackson, a career Navy man, brought her back to San Diego. Nancy loved life and lived it enthusiastically. She truly enjoyed and took great pride in her career as a legal secretary and office manager. She was a member of the K-9 Obedience Club of Jacksonville and forever and Elvis fan. Ironically, the illness that ultimately robbed her of time gave her the gift time to share herself with others, which she did by playing the organ at her Park clubhouse, teaching ceramics to seniors, reading to children at her apartment complex, volunteer crocheting and helping to raise her beloved Megan. Nancy is survived by her son, Thomas Queen and his girlfriend Cari Flores of San Diego; mother, Estelle Garner, sister and brother- in-law, Ann and Robert Burt of Jacksonville, FL; niece and nephew Kristy and David Burt and very special friends Natalie, Bart, Ashley and Megan Fox. It was Nancys desire to be cremated and that no services be held. Please sign the Guestbook at Jacksonville.com
