WATERLOO- Mrs. Nancy Fergerson Edwards, 81, of 6 Chestnut St., died Monday (March 14, 2011) at Geneva General Hospital. In keeping with the family's wishes, there will be no prior calling hours or Services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Waterloo United Methodist Church, 21 E. William St., Waterloo 13165. Nancy was born on March 24, 1929 in North Syracuse, the daughter of the late Charles S. and Lula D. Mitchell Fergerson. She was a graduate of Geneva Central High School. After graduation she worked as a secretary for Touhy Insurance Co., before working as a cafeteria employee with Waterloo Central School. She also worked as a school tax collector for the Packwood School District. For 14 years, she and her husband owned and operated G & W Train and Hobby in Seneca Falls. She was a 4-H leader and an active member in Waterloo Sportsman's Auxiliary. She was an EMT for N. Seneca Ambulance and CPR trainer for American Red Cross. She was a member and past matron of O.E.S. and a volunteer for House of Concern in Seneca Falls. She was also a longtime member of the Waterloo United Methodist Church.She survived by one son, Gene Charles Edwards of Sidney; and one daughter, Pamela (Raymond) Becker of Seneca Falls; two grandsons: Mark R. (MaryJo) Becker of Brockport and Matthew W. Becker of New Hartford.She was predeceased by her husband, whom she married in 1951, Wilson Charles Edwards, in 1997. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coe-Genung Funeral Home.
