DALTON, Nancy Elizabeth Age 92, Franklin. January 30, 2009, the eldest daughter of the late John and Irma Norris and preceded in death by her siblings, Charles and Ross Norris, Frances Dromgoole and Katherine Shelton. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Deacon Isaiah Dalton, for 66 years. To this union 4 sons were born, three of whom preceded her in death, Edward, Isaac and John Dalton. She was a faithful member of Green Grove Primitive Baptist Church for nearly 50 years, until her health began to fail. She served as the Church Historian, on the kitchen committee, President of the Mother's Board for 15 years and Vice President of the Cumberland Association Mother's Union for 31 years. She leaves to carry on her memory, devoted son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Shirley Dalton; 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 14 great - great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; loyal neighbor, friends and the congregation of the Green Grove Primitive Baptist Church family. Mother Dalton will lie in state TODAY, Sunday, February 1, 2009 from 12 - 6 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home, 1408 Columbia Ave. and Monday February 2, 2009 from 10 - 11:45 a.m. at Green Grove P. B.
