Obituary of Nancy-Ann Horn


Nancy Ann Horn Nancy Ann Horn (nee Moore), 82, of Bridgeton died peacefully under the care of hospice at The Cumberland Manor on Thursday afternoon Nov. 3, 2011. Nancy was the wife of William R. Horn and was born in Camden and was the daughter of the late Russell and Cora Chew Moore. She graduated from Merchantville High School in 1946 and married her husband on June 4, 1949. She was a longtime resident of Bridgeton and moved to her current address in 1957. For the last five and a half years Nancy has been a resident of The Cumberland Manor. She was a teller at the former Cumberland National Bank in Bridgeton for 14 years and later worked as a housekeeper at the Bridgetown Arms Apartments for 19 years. Nancy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star - Collingswood Chapter. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, travel and gardening. She was known in her neighborhood for her flower garden. In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by a brother, Edmund Moore of Pennsauken, seven grandchildren, including William B. Yeager with whom she lived, eleven great grandchildren, one great grandchild and a son-in-law John Peterson. Sadly, she was predeceased by all three of her daughters, Eileen Mary Yeager Sisco, Nancy Mead and Kathie Peterson. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Moore and Robert Moore and a sister, Mary Christafulli. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the FREITAG FUNERAL HOME, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton on Tuesday afternoon Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. Pastor Elizabeth Nees of St. PaulÕs Lutheran Church in Millville will officiate. The burial will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon from 1 until 2 p.m. Memorial contributions in Mrs. HornÕs memory are suggested: The Cumberland Manor Activity Fund, 154 Sunny Slope Drive, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
