Nicy-Mae-Freeney James, born in 1926, spouse of Joseph-James Sr, daughter of Ollie-J and Hester-McNish, mother of Fla, High, Joe Anne, Allen and Aaron, died on November 8, 1926.
Mrs. Nicy Mea Freeney James was born on November 8, 1926 in Fort White, Fla. She was the daughter of the late Ollie J. Freeney and Hester McNish Freeney. She attended Bethlehem School. She confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was a faithful member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, class No 5 and the United Methodist Women. Mrs. James was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Joseph James Sr. on May 31, 1947. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph James Sr., sons Aaron James and Allen Brooks and all of her siblings. She went home to be with the Lord on Saturday April 11, 2009 at 1 am at her home, after a brief illness. She leaves to treasure her precious memories five children, Joe Anne Leath (Charlie), High Springs, Fla., Carleen James (Alphonso), Alachua, Fla., Martha Nell Alexander (Richard) High Springs, Fla., Joseph James, Jr., High Springs, Fla., Darlene Conners, Orlando, Fla., Ollie D. James (Cynthia) High Springs, Fla. Grandchildren: Stacy James, Richard Alexander (Amber), Lucretia Strawder, Tyrone James, Tradena Alexander, Libra James, Michael Scott, Nicole Alexander, Kimberly James, Lovenzo Dales, Rovenzo Dales, Willie Joe Cook, Ollie James, Jr., Nilicea James, Lashanda Brooks, Helaria Brooks, Kimberly & Christina. Twenty six great grandchildren. One stepdaughter, Nancy Brooks. Two devoted sisters-in-law Sarah James and Louise James. Devoted nieces, Shirley Stokes, LeSean Stokes, Annie, Lisa and Wanda Montgomery and Irish Hill. Devoted nephews Frazie King and Larry Freeney. Devoted cousins the "Niblack Girls" Lennie, Geraldine, and Vera. Goddaughters: Inez (Jerri), Rosemary, Yolanda and many more relatives and sorrowing friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Nicy Mae Freeney James "Madea" will be 12:00 noon Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Pastor Clarence DeSue, Eulogy; Minister Fatha DeSue, Presiding. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 17, 2008 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church; Ft.
