WOODRUFF, SC-- Myrtle Lee Knighton Brown, 91 of 2120 Kilgore Bridge Road, Woodruff, SC passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2006.A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Niles Franklin and Nannie Godfrey Knighton. She was the widow of Mr. E.D. Brown. She was a retired employee of Riverdale Mills, a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she was a former nursery worker, member of the benevolence committee, choir member, mothers class, and was a member of the order of the Eastern Star.Survivors include two sons, Bill Brown and Ray Brown both of Woodruff; one daughter, Judy B. Martinson of Roebuck; two sisters, Doris Harlan of Laurens, Sue Cudd of Woodruff; six grandchildren, Rick Brown, Robin Brown, Cindy Brooks, Niles Brown, Jeff Brown and John Brown; and four step grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. One son, Ed Brown; one daughter, Janice Brown; and one grandson, Buddy Brown, preceded her in death.Pallbearers will be Rick, Robin, Niles, Jeff and John Brown and Bobby Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason, Zachary and Hunter Brown, Eddie Brooks and Cruz Watson.Visitation will be held from 1:00- 2:00 PM on Friday, November 24, 2006, at Antioch Baptist Church prior to the 2:30 PM funeral service conducted by Rev. Jerry Taylor and Rev. Fred Quidley. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church Elevator Fund or Life Center Fund, 13683 Highway 221, Enoree, SC 29335.
