STUART _ Muriel (Lou), passed away peacefully October 21, 2003 at the age of 83 in Vancouver, B.C. Mom was born January 7, 1920 at Sapperton, the eldest of 8 surviving children of George and Sussanah Allard, all descendants of a pioneer Fort Langley family. Predeceased by her husband Frank in 1988. Mom had a heart as big as her body, a contagious laugh, loved people and made friends easily because of her engaging and endearing personality. She rarely missed an opportunity to host a dinner or celebrate a festive occasion with the appropriate decorations. She loved life and will be greatly missed as the matriarch of our family. "Marmies", "Lulu", "Tatsie", "Tots", "Gramma Lou", "The Aunt", will be remembered with love by son Bob (Eileen); daughter April Wright (Greg); sister Irene Allard; grandchildren, Lisa Will (Mark), Sandra, Stuart, Malcolm; great-grandson Lachlan; several nieces and nephews in Canada and the U.S.A., and her dog, Muffy. Special thanks to the caregivers at Braddan Private Hospital. A family gathering is planned to celebrate Mom's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the S.P.C.A.
