Obituary of Ms. -Virginia Lewis


STATESBORO, Ga. - Ms. Virginia Lewis, age 70, died on Saturday July 30, 2010 at her residence. The Candler county native had lived in Bulloch County for most of her life. She attended Statesboro High School and was a retired seamstress. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents Alver and Juanita Durden Lewis. Surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law; Tommy and Libby Lewis of Nevils, GA and Gerald and Lynn Lewis of Vidalia, GA; three nieces Paula Turner, Jodie Williams and Katrina Kelehar; two nephews Duane Lewis and Josh Lewis; three great nieces and one great nephew. The visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating. Interment will be in Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Garfield, GA. Pallbearers will be Duane Lewis, Larry Durden, Madison Durden, Jerrell Cannady, John Lewis and Greg Williams.
