NEWARK - Agnes "Nan" Henderson, 98, died peacefully Wednesday (Oct. 14, 2009) at the DeMay Living Center. Fulfilling Ms. Henderson's wishes, there will be no services at this time. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In memory of Ms. Henderson, please consider donations to Park Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, Maple Court, Newark 14513, or a charity of one's choice. Ms. Henderson was born the daughter of the late John and Helen (Watson) Henderson on May 22, 1911, in Falkirk, Scotland. She served as an elder of the Park Presbyterian Church for six years. Ms. Henderson also served as the Sunday School primary grade superintendent and on the TIC Committee for eight years. She also was a member of the Women's Association and the Women's Circle at the church. As a member of the Newark Business & Professional Women's Club, she served as the president two times. Ms. Henderson had worked for Garlock Corp., Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic and as a private secretary at Interior Decorators. Ms. Henderson will be remembered by her nephew, Walter M. Heatlie of England; two special friends, Sharon (John) Griswold and family of Lock Berlin and Eileen and Curt Clicquennoi and family of New Jersey.
