WEDOWEE — Mrs. Virginia Jackson, of Wedowee, Ala. (formerly of Fairburn, Ga.) passed away October 18, 2008. She is survived by her husband, Roy Jackson, of Wedowee (formerly of Fairburn); children, Michael Thompson, of Fairburn, Richard Thompson, of Newnan, Teresa Pittman, of Tyrone, Debbie McBride, of Tampa, Fla., Larry Jackson, of Sand Mountain; brother, Gene Parrott, of Fairburn; sister, Joyce Durrett, of Palmetto; grandchildren, Ricky, Matthew and Brittney Pittman, Nicolas and Rachel Thompson, Garrett and Amber Riley, Leslie and Cole Graybrook; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2008, in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Cosper officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive this evening from 4:30 until 8 p.m. (CST) at Crossroads Community Church in Wedowee and on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory, Fairburn, Ga.
