Mrs. -Virginia-Bonner Jackson, born in 1919, spouse of Lucy Jackson, daughter of Joe and Lurlene-Vineyard, died on April 23, 2009 at 89 years old.
ROCK MILLS — Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Bonner Jackson, 89, will be at 2 p.m. today, April 23, 2009, at Bethany Lime Christian Church with the Revs. Stanley Yarbrough and Harold Bonner officiating. Mrs. Jackson will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial to follow in the adjoining church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Jackson died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Traylor Nursing Home. Survivors include one brother, Gerson (wife, Lucy) Bonner, of Roanoke; four nephews, Jerry, Harold, Whit and Lamar Bonner; two nieces, Dorothy May and Karen Bonner White. Pallbearers will be Jerry, Harold, Whit and Lamar Bonner, James Vineyard and Benny Satterwhite. Mrs. Jackson was born October 8, 1919, daughter of Joe and Lurlene Vineyard Bonner. She was a member of the Bethany Lime Christian Church and had been a homemaker. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Henry D. Jackson; her parents; two sisters, Lera Pearl and Bessie Maude Bonner; three brothers, Leonard, Jim and Awbrey Bonner. Quattlebaum Funeral Home of Roanoke (334)863-4141
