Obituary of Mrs. -Sarah-Q. Harrington


LINEVILLE — Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Q. Harrington, 90, will be at 2 p.m. today, July 3, 2009, at Benefield Funeral Home Chapel in Lineville with the Rev. L.C. Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive North Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Harrington passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at the Clay County Hospital. She was a native and life long resident of Clay County and a homemaker. Mrs. Harrington loved her farm, gardening, raising cattle and taking care of her pets. She is survived by two sons, William Harrington and his wife, Judy, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Roger Dale Harrington and his wife, Pamela Simmons Harrington, of Birmingham; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clay Harrington; her daughter, Clois Driggers; her sisters, Lucy Lee Johnson and Mozelle Carpenter and her brother, Q.P. Carpenter. Pallbearers will be Charles H. Simmons Jr., Michael Simmons, Fred Beverly, Rod Goodwin, Joe Ratley and John Harkness. Visitation will be at Friday from 12:30 until service time at 2 p.m. at Benefield Home of Lineville. Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge of the arrangements.
