STATESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Sarah Cone Lee, transitioned, Wednesday, July 4, 20120 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a native of Bulloch County and a member of Scarboro Baptist Church. She was a retired public school teacher of elementary education having retired in 1986 after 40 years in the classroom. She received a B.S. from Fort Valley State University in elementary education and pursed further studies at Albany State and Georgia Southern University.She is survived by one son, Rev. Eldridge L. (Patricia Scott) Lee, Fairburn, Ga.; one daughter, Jackie Lee Berry, , Portal; four grandchildren, Nikita Lee, Yolada Lee, Janetter Lee and William George Berry, two great grandchildren, Jasmine Berry and Noa Delanhey and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services for Mrs. Lee will be held Tuesday, July 10th at 11 a.m. at Scarboro Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Eldridge L. Lee, Associate Pastor of Zion Baptist Church, Fairburn, Ga. officiating and Rev. Grant Turner, Pastor/Presiding.
