Mrs. Ruth Thomas Bennett, age 79, of Cumming passed away Monday, July 28, 2008. She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Tom Bennett; son, Ricky Bennett; daughter, Wanda Bennett; granddaughter, Michelle Bennett Stultz. Survivors include her loving children, Ronald and Marylin Bennett of Cumming, Tommie and Larry Waldrip of Gainesville, Peggy and Michael Smith of Cumming, Patricia and Benny Garrett of Gainesville and Michael and Lynn Bennett of Cumming; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 30, at 11 a.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Blackburn and Rev. David Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday, July 29, from 7-9 p.m. Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
