ANNISTON — Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Sue Whatley Walker, 84, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at Benefield Funeral Home Chapel in Lineville with the Rev. Claude Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Lineville City Cemetery. Mrs. Walker went home to be with the Lord Sunday, February 22, 2009, at the Regional Medical Center in Anniston. She was a native of Clay County, but had lived most of her life in Anniston, was a loving mother, a homemaker, a devoted Alabama fan and also volunteered as a Pink Lady. She has been a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Anniston since the 1960s. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Lee (Fred), of Huntsville, and Allison Pannell (Grant), of Summerfield, N.C.; five grandchildren, Whitney Walling, Courtney Nunley, Collin Pannell, Andrew Pannell and Chandler Pannell; one great-grandchild, Wesley Walling and a number of extended members, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville Wednesday, February 25, 2009, from 10 a.m. and until service time at 11 a.m. Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge of the arrangements.
