ANNISTON — Services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Nealous Walker, 77, will be Saturday, January 23, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Smith Tabernacle C.M.E. Church with Elder Oscar Massey officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery with Anniston Funeral services in charge. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Walker died on January 17, 2010 at Noland Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Mr. John D. Walker; five daughters, Carolyn (David) Vines, Freda (Gary) Archie, Cathy (Robert) Hood, Brenda (Jerimiah) Stevens, Charlene (Ricky) Smoot and two sons, Bobby-Buddy (Wendy) Walker and Glenn-Tuboo (Gwen) Walker and sister-in-law, Mrs. Rose Ogletree; three adopted daughters, Patricia Bowers-West, Gwendolyn (Tommy) Brisco and Harriet Bowers and one adopted son, Larry (Pat) Franks; a devoted sister, Johnnie Mae Stanley; adopted brother, Fred Parker; three adopted sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Jones and Mrs. Vera Mason; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and a very special friend, Evonne Snodgress; special cousins, Charles (Linda) Varner, Helen Willis, William (Mary) Varner and Deloise Coleman. Mrs. Walker was a Calhoun County native and a member of the Smith Tabernacle C.M.E. Church where she served on many capacities in the church and attended Cobb Avenue High School.
