JACKSONVILLE — Services for Mrs. Mary E. Williams, 78, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009, from the St. Paul C.M.E. Church in Jacksonville with the Rev. Mark Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Jacksonville City Cemetery with Ervin Funeral Chapel LLC, directing. Public visitation will commence today from noon until 8:30 p.m. Mrs. Williams died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Jacksonville Health and Rehab. Mrs. Williams was born November 30, 1930, in Munford, Ala., to the late John Hines and Essie Bell Keith. She was born into an extended family that included her grandparents, Kye and Ella Keith and five uncles, William, Garrett, Raymond, Jessie and Earnest. She was married to Jessie Williams, of Jacksonville on January 8, 1949 until his death on June 25, 1978. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Richard Scott Williams; one Brother, John Cobb and one sister, Jeanetta Hines. She leaves as loved ones ten children, 1sg (Ret.) L.C. Alonzo Hines, Tech Sgt. (Ret.) Jessie C. Williams, Ronald Williams, Margaret W. (Bill) Smith, Mary Ann W. Burnett, Op Spec. (Ret.) David (Patricia) James Williams, Master Sergeant (Ret.) Victor Malone Williams, Timothy Ray Williams, Master Sergeant Curtis Lane (Rene) Williams; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Ruby Keith, Johnnie Wilson, Elsia Adams, Juanita (Paul) Nixon and Secunda Horton.
