BROOKLET, Ga. - Mrs. Mary C. Joiner, age 63, died early Saturday at her residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a native of Ajo, Ariz., and lived with family in Wyoming until the love of her life swept her into his heart. She then trekked with him across the U.S. and around the world. Then the family came to Brooklet to settle on the family farm. She loved this area and the people with all of her heart and was a light to all of us. She was preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Gert J. Gough; and her sister, Larica Kimbell. Survivors include her husband, Dale Joiner of Brooklet; two sons, Corey Joiner of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Jason M. (Joanne) Joiner of Brooklet; her brother, James Gough of Montana; two grandchildren, Joshua C. Joiner and Jason M. Joiner II. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Hans Mortensen, Steve Miller, Jerry Weatherford, Jimmy Ondriezk, Wayman Shuman and Mike Nielson. Burial will be in Corinth-Leefield Cemetery.
