RAGLAND - Martha Adew Johnson, age 92, of Ragland, formerly of Bessemer, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 in Pell City. Mrs. Johnson was born in Marion County, Ala., April 18, 1917. She was a member of Pinson Church of God of Prophecy. Funeral Services were held at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 11 a.m. with burial in Hopewell Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The Rev. Phil Pruitt and the Rev. L.V. Jones officiated. She was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Johnson; and son, David Hugh Johnson, and three grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Bishop (Don) of Ragland; sons, Euford W. Johnson (Nellie) of Homewood, Eules Donald Johnson (Mary Clyde) of Hueytown, Jimmy H. Johnson (Sarah) of Gardendale and Jerry Johnson (Anne) of Hueytown; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home is honored to have served the Johnson family.
