Funeral service for Mrs. Mae Carrie Brown, 91, will be 2 p.m. today, April 28 at Usrey Brown-Service Funeral Home with Mr. Jeff Clark and Mr. Richard O'Conner officiating. Burial will be in Munford Cemetery. Mrs. Brown died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Citizens BMC, Talladega. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County, a member of Munford Church of Christ and also attended Betta View Church of Christ, and retired from Palm Beach. She loved people and children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Brown. Survivors are her sons, Eugene A. Brown of Munford and Authur "Art" N. Brown of Anniston; daughter, Joyce Dugan of Carrollton, Ga.; grandchildren, Keith Brown of Anniston, Deonne Clark of Munford, Hillary Brown of Munford, Carrie Brown of Anniston, Chris Martin of Munford, Teresa Tyndal of Birmingham, Norman Lackey of Carrollton, Ga., Melisa Boyd of Bowden, Ga.; six great-grandchildren, Cloe Martin, Cade Brown, Leigh Tyndal, Mathason Tyndal, Austin Lackey, and Serria Lackey. Pallbearers will be Norman Lackey, Austin Lackey, Cade Brown, Mathason Tyndal, D.J. Boyd, and Andy Brown. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.
