Mrs. -Lillie-Mae James, spouse of Dea James, died at 85 years old.
Mrs. Lillie Mae James, age 85, passed away peacefully at Hospice Savannah, Inc. after a long illness. She was a native of Bulloch County and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was a housewife. She is survived by her husband, Dea. General James, Brooklet; two daughters, Roberta James (Charles) Reynolds and Zelda Mae James, Savannah; three sons, General Arthur (Phyllis) James, Fairfield, California, Frank James, Brooklet, Ga., and Theron (Veronica) James, Savannah, Ga.; one sister, Lucy Campbell, Statesboro; four grandchildren, Summer, Melissa, Shetia and Camille; three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service for Mrs. James will be held on Thursday, September 22nd, at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Richard Lawrence, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The remains will lie in state at the church on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.
