Mrs. Helen M. Carpenter, 72, resident of Swainsboro, died Tuesday morning at Emanuel Medical Center. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Bartow, Ga., daughter of the late Dan and Grace Wells Martin. She had lived in Swainsboro for the past five years. Mrs. Carpenter was district manager of FHA for many years.The funeral service for Mrs. Helen M. Carpenter will be held Friday evening at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with the Reverend Franklin Sasser officiating.
