"Molly"NEWARK - Florence "Molly" Alice McGovern, 88, died Tuesday (August 30, 2011) peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side.There will be no prior calling hours. A Funeral Service will be Thursday (September 1) at 2 p.m. at Park Presbyterian Church, Maple Street, Newark. A small reception will follow the funeral service. Burial in East Newark Cemetery at the convenience of the family.Mrs. McGovern was born the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (French) Britt on April 24, 1923, in England. She graduated from high school before coming to the United States in 1946. Molly enjoyed reading, traveling and especially her dog "Maggie." For many years and right up until just a month ago Molly worked as a volunteer at Clifton Springs Hospital and Nursing Home. People loved to be around her and share their friendship with her.Molly will be remembered by her sons, Floyd (Sharon Beck) McGovern Jr. of Newark and Britt (Sandy) McGovern of Geneva; daughter, Leslie Husner of Canandaigua; brother, Ken (Chris) Britt and sister, Sybil Stinton, both of England. Many grandchildren and several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Molly was predeceased by her husband, Floyd R.
