Obituary of Mrs. -Emily-Jeanette Carter

HELENA - Emily Jeanette Carter, age 80, of Helena passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009. She was born May 7, 1929 in the Odena community of Sylacauga. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her parents, Turner and Nettie Sanford; a brother, Rex Sanford; and a nephew, Rex Turner Sanford. Survivors include Mrs. Carter's husband of 60 years, Robert C. Carter; three daughters, Bobbie (Ken) Bunn, Lisa (Jay) Cochran, and Cindy (Tim) Larkin; and one grandson, Cole Bunn. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. the same day in the funeral home's chapel in Pelham with the Rev. Jim Schilleci officiating. The private family burial service will follow in Childersburg. Ridout's Southern Heritage in Pelham will direct the service.
