Mrs. Betty Wheeler, 77, of Statham, died Monday, March 16, 2009. Born in Willow Grove, Penn., she was a daughter of the late Charles Luther and Mary S. Myers. A homemaker, she loved Bingo and bowling. Survivors are her husband, Dave Wheeler of Statham; son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Carl Given; daughter, Sandy Goff; and stepdaughter, Pat Brewer; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and brothers, Charlie Myers and James Myers. Services will be Thursday, March 19, at 2 p.m. in Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Hal Tapp officiating. Interment will be in the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home. Smith Funeral Home has charge of the service.
