Barbara Shoemake Mitchell, age 67 of Buford, Georgia, died suddenly Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Barbara is survived by her husband of 47 years, Raymond Mitchell, Buford. Children, Mike and Teresa Mitchell, Buford, Mitzi and Jeff Chambers, Lawrenceville; Grandchildren, Ethan and Jenny Mitchell, Mitch, Matthew, Miranda, Jordan and Jessie Chambers; Sister and Brother In-law, Martha and Bobby Britt, Fayetteville; Niece, Ashley Britt, Atlanta; Aunt, Era Mae Reed, Buford; Sister In-law, Shirley Gibbs, Buford; Brother In-law and Sister In-law, Barry and Charlotte Mitchell, Buford; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Barbara was a life long resident of Buford. She was self employed as a hairdresser and catered many weddings and events. She was well known for her beautiful cakes and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Buford. Service were Friday, Sept. 19, at 2: p.m. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Farrell Presley officiating. Interment was in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Harmony Baptist Church Building Fund.
