SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Barbara Jean Steverson Riggins, 80, will be Sunday, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with the Rev. James Woodin officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Riggins died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at Mountain View Lake Retirement Village. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thomas D. Riggins, and was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She is survived by sons, Thomas D. Riggins Jr. and wife Marilyn of Alexander City and William G. Riggins and wife Bonnie of Sylacauga; daughters, Cathy J. Riggins and Libby Kendrick of Sylacauga; sister, Marjorie Sprayberry of Montgomery; grandchildren, Dr. Wendy Gregory, Angela Hosey, Lorrie Angelo, Todd Riggins, Shelly Johnston, Trace Riggins, James Neese and Laura Skinner; and six great grandchildren.
