Obituary of Mrs. -Annie-Mary Smith


Mrs. Annie Mary Smith, age 88, peacefully passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 1, 2009, at the Heritage Inn Health and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a Bulloch County native and worked as a cook for many years before retiring from Willingway Hospital. She was a member of Mt. Zion AME Church of Statesboro, Ga. Mrs. Annie Mary Smith leaves fond memories to her daughters, Joyce Bennett and Jimmie Lou Smith, both of Statesboro, Ga.; her sons, James W. Smith of Statesboro, Ga., and Larry Smith of Providence, R.I., N.Y.; her aunt, Eula Pryor of Waycross, Ga.; two granddaughters, Verda Key, Statesboro, Ga., and Shirley Johnson (Calvin), Brooklet; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Johnson. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at 1 p.m. at the Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Craig R. Tremble, eulogist. The Rev. Troy Grubbs, pastor, presiding. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Family visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2009, 6-8 p.m. in the Robena Raymond Memorial Chapel at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home. Services entrusted to the care of Craig R.
