Obituary of Mrs. -Alice-Marie Jackson


Mrs. Alice Marie Jackson, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, October 1st, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. She was a Screven County native and a member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church of Sylvania, Ga. She resided in New Jersey from 1964 until 1996, returning back to Screven County. She retired as a home care nurse in New Jersey after 33 years. She is survived by six sons, Mr. Earl (Lenora) Jackson of Irvington, N.J., Mr. Alfred Jackson Jr. and Mr. Rahim Grant, both of Newark, N.J., Mr. Tony (Kathy) Jackson of East Orange, N.J., Mr. Anthony (Keisha) Jackson of Hillside, N.J., and Mr. Hakim Grant of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Melceile (Porter C.) Davis of Sylvania, Ga.; two brothers, Mr. Arthur Lee Williams of Sylvania, Ga., and Mr. James Earl Williams of Waynesboro, Ga.; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Sylvania Ga., with Dr. Diane Evans, eulogist. Interment will be held in Friendship Cemetery, Sylvania, Ga. Viewing will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009, from 10-11 a.m. at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Sylvania, Ga. Craig R.
