BROOKLET, Ga. - Mr. John Richard Lee, age 51, died Friday evening at his residence in Brooklet under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Statesboro native had lived in Savannah for 15 years, but most of his life in Statesboro. He worked at ITT Grinnell, King Finishing and The Warehouse. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Oak Hill Baptist Church in Millen.He was preceded in death by his father John Robert Lee, a brother-in-law Ronnie Peckeroff and his favorite aunt, Jean Mallard.Surviving are his mother Lila Woods Johnson of Statesboro; three sisters Nancy Peckeroff of Brooklet, Kelly Gause and Cathy Donaldson both of Tallahassee, Fla. and a brother, Allen Roberts of Tallahassee, Fla. Several nieces and nephews also survive.Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m.Tuesday January 27, 2015, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, in Portal, Ga.The family will receive friends following the service.
