PELL CITY - Memorial service for Albert Lee Smith, 72, was 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 at New Life Assembly of God with the Rev. Ken Jones officiating. Mr. Smith died Oct. 6, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Smith Sr.; sister, Jean Holland; and son, Douglas Smith. Survivors are his wife, Carolyn Mae Smith; three sons, John Smith, Michael Smith, and Frank Townsend; two daughters, Carol Jean Townsend and Angela P. Townsend; three brothers, James A. Smith Jr., Robert Smith, and J.G. Kramer; grandchildren, Amanda Whitten, Amanda Smith, Racheal Smith, Tyler Smith, Douglas Townsend, Owen Dawley, Kyle and Kayla Smith, and Blake Townsend; and four great-grandchildren.
