Memorial services for Mollie Sue Davis 76 will be held at 2:00 Saturday December 27 2003 from Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Dr. Charlotte Mansfield officiating. Teri Bistolfi will be the eulogist. Mrs. Davis died on Tuesday December 23 2003 at her residence. Arrington Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements. A life-long Jackson resident she was born on August 4 1927 the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Lucie Malone Nichols. She was married to Jasper Jefferson Davis Jr. who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of the former Jackson High School and was employed for many years in the Credit Department of the former First National Bank. She was a life-long member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church formerly Hays Avenue United Methodist Church of Jackson where she had been active in various areas. She is survived by four daughters Jackie Lynn Davis Edwards and husband Reed Lisa Davis Turner and husband Mike Donna Davis Fowler and husband Steve and Judy Davis Karnes and husband Duane all of Jackson; six grandchildren Leslie Mays Kristin Karnes Doug Karnes Michael Turner Russell Fowler and Rachel Fowler and one great grandchild Austin Mays. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. The family has requested that memorials be directed to the Jackson-Madison County Humane Society 3107 Paul Coffman Drive Jackson TN 38301 or Aldersgate United Methodist Church 1050 N. Parkway Jackson TN 38305. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday December 27 2003 from 1:00 PM until the service time at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
