Miss-Johnnie-Lou Johnson, daughter of Emma and Elder-John-Frank, died on November 18, 2009.
ANNISTON — Services for Ms. Johnnie Lou Johnson, 83, of Anniston will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at First United Presbyterian Church with Evangelist Peggy Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery with Anniston Funeral services in charge. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Johnson died on November 10, 2009 at Regional Medical Center. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy (Charles) Saunders, of Anniston and Gloria Garry, of Marietta, Ga.; stepchildren, Rhonda (Douglas) Archable and Alison (Dwight) McElroy, both of Oakland, Calif., Sandra (Gregory) Castile, of Bellwood, Ill., Gloria Turpin and Carmela (Christopher) James, of Montgomery, Helen (Andrew) Weeks, of Oxford, Lena (Bill) Patterson, of Saks, Marshall Brown, of Anniston, Wendell (Djuana) Scott, of Sylacauga and Jeffrey (Valerie) Fleming, of Oxford; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and a devoted friend, Ruthie Mae Phillips and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Ms. Johnson was a Camphill native and a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and had worked at Cobb High School Cafeteria, Carl Restaurants, Beavers Hotel and Restaurant, The Annistonian and the Anniston Country Club and was employed at Adelaine Mills National Security Insurance Company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elder John Frank Johnson and Emma Rowe-Johnson; five brothers; four sisters; son, Michael Johnson and grandparents, Lewis and Amelia Rowe.
