Miss Annie Laura Smith, age 91, of Cumming passed away Friday, May 22, 2009. She was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church and an avid quilter. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Carey and Nellie Smith; three brothers, Shirley, Carrol and Edsel Smith; sister, Sibyl Johnson; brothers-in-law, Jim Perry, Cliff Johnson, Clement Chumbler; and sister-in-law, Willie Mae Smith. Survivors include her sisters, Mary R. Chumbler, Betty Perry; brother and sister-in-law, Walter Hugh and Joyce Smith; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 24, at 3 p.m. at Coal Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Bennett and the Rev. Larry Vaughn officiating. Interment followed at Coal Mountain Church Cemetery. Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
