Minnie-Mae-Payne Nolin, spouse of Hubert-Earl Nolin, daughter of William and Lydie-Austin, mother of Marsha and Sylvia, died. Please consult the obituary here:
Minnie Mae (Mickie) P. Nolin, widow of Hubert Earl Nolin, of 15 West Circle Avenue, went to be with the Lord on Saturday. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late William and Lydie Austin Payne. She was reared at the Connie Maxwell Children's Home in Greenwood and attended Greenville Women's College, now known as Furman University. She was a homemaker, and in her earlier years she worked as a cosmetologist. Mrs. Nolin was a founding member of Overbrook Baptist Church, and a former Sunday School teacher at Monaghan and Overbrook Baptist Churches. Surviving are her daughters, Marsha Hendrix of Myrtle Beach, and Sylvia Arnold of Chapin; five grandchildren, Piper H. Butler, Courtney H. Willner, Noel R. Patrick, Jared M. Hendrix and Jason N. Hendrix; six great-grandchildren; and a devoted family friend, Geraldene Welch. Funeral services will be held Monday at The Mackey Mortuary Chapel at 2 p.m. with Dr. Kenneth Lance officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the mortuary. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Connie Maxwell Children's Home, P.O. Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29646.
