Obituary of Minnie-Mae Brown


Minnie Mae Bayne Brown, 75, of 104 Sunny Dale Drive, died July 2, 2002. She was the widow of James Bernice (Bud) Brown. A native of Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Thomas and Jessie Mae Leopard Bayne, was a member of Five Forks Baptist Church, and was a retired employee of Heckler Mfg. Surviving: One daughter and son-in-law, Susan Dianne Brown Jones and Greg Jones, of Fayetteville, Ga.; two brothers, Clarence Terry Bayne and Bobby Gene Bayne, both of Simpsonville; and two grandchildren, Matthew Jones and Rachel Jones. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Thomas Bayne. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Five Forks Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Jim Culbreth and the Rev. Ed Hawkins. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alton Bayne, Steven Bayne, Justin Bagwell, Rusty Edwards, Henry Hipps, Jason Mahaffey, Eddie Capps and Freeman Hipps. Honorary escort will be members of her Sunday School Class, the Morris Fisher family, the Leonard Terry family, the Alan Whitlock family, the Paul Mazanec family and Harry Knight Jr. The family is at the home. Omit flowers. Memorials may be made to Five Forks Baptist Church; the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering; or Anne Armstrong Easter Offering, 112 Batesville Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681. - The Wood Mortuary.
