Minnie Lee W. P. Miller Minnie Lee Williams Pompey Miller, 60, who was the director of Kids' Club Preschool Inc., died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003. The service will be at 11 a.m. EDT Saturday at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, with the Elder James Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Sinai AME Church Cemetery.The funeral cortege will assemble at 10 a.m. EDT Saturday at 58 Haven Lane. Family will receive friends from 3 to 4:45 p.m. EDT Friday at Richardson's Family Funeral Care Inc., 101 E. Fourth Ave. (878-4144). There will be a wake from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT Friday at Mount Sinai and on Saturday from 9 a.m. EDT until the service at the church.Online visitors may sign the guest register atwww.richardsons-funeralcare.com. A native of Tallahassee, she was a member of Mount Sinai. She was a 1960 graduate of Lincoln High School and attended cosmetology school where she received certification in cosmetology.Minnie had worked in childcare for more than 20 years. She spent her last 14 years as director, holding her National Accreditation Childcare Teacher Credential and her director's certification. She was a dedicated director, family member and friend at Kids' Club Preschool Inc. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Domita Simmons of Tallahassee; two sons, Anthony Williams and Jeremy Pompey (and wife Ayanna), both of Tallahassee; two sisters, Catherine Gilmore (and husband Robert) and Mary Pierce (and husband Harvey); seven grandchildren, Jarvis, Antwamouya, Ja'nay, Anthony, Sherina, Lategra and Chelsea; three nieces, Antionetta Hall (and husband Claude), Valderine Grant and Angelia Spradley; two nephews, Charles Grant and Mario Grant; two devoted friends, Helen King and Louise Williams; and a host of cousins, other relatives, friends and her Kids' Club family.She was preceded in death on March 20 by her husband, Minister Darrell D. Miller.
