December 23, 2003 Minnie Lee Jones, 86, of 306 Maple St., Syracuse, died Tuesday at home after a long illness. Born in Dublin, GA, she attended Georgia Public Schools. Once in Syracuse, owned her own restaurant and retired from Syracuse University after 28years in 1979. Survivors: two daughters, Lutishey Howze and Edna Dunn, both of Syracuse; foster son, Leo Coleman of Syracuse; one stepdaughter Marie Goddard of Milledgeville, GA; sister, Mattie Moore, and brother John Baker, II, both of Soperton, GA; 12 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services: 1 p.m. Monday in Tucker Missionary Baptist Church, 515 Oakwood Ave. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 2 to 6 p.m. at FARONE & SON.
