Funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. today in the Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Mildred Ruby Payne Hall, 99, of Gadsden. The Rev. Steve Trader will officiate, with burial at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation services is directing. Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Hall; sons, Horace (Ruby) Lumpkin and Billie Lumpkin; and her parents, Cicero and Minnie Payne.She is survived by her granddaughters, Sherry (Mike) Underwood and Julie (Kerry) Payne; great-grandchildren, Cres (Joy) Underwood, Kyle (Casey) Underwood, Christopher Payne and Rebekah Payne; great-great-grandchildren, Erin Underwood and Brady Underwood; and several nieces and nephews.Mrs. Hall was a lifetime member of Alabama City Church of God.Pallbearers will be Mike Underwood, Kerry Payne, Cres Underwood, Kyle Underwood, Christopher Payne, Seth Monroe and Brady Underwood.Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Dwight Baptist Church Family Life Center.The family would like to extend a special thanks to Sue Meyers, Connie Lowe, Penny Godfrey, Joy Underwood, Kelli Floyd, the staff of Gadsden Regional Home Health and Hospice and Dinah Busby.Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today, prior to the service.Condolences may be made at www.collier-butler.com.
